Ice Road Truckers is little more then scripted a soap opera with a truck driver furnish. Alex is the good natured fatherly figureRick is the beefcake and the stoogeDrew is the fall guy that's always forced to take the blame. (In a regular soap opera he'd be the criminal)Jay is the hard working family man (maybe the Hollywood suits ordain write a forbidden romantic affair with a waitress into the script to bring up ratings next toughen)TJ is the lost post-teen trying desperately to find himselfHugh is comic relief and the one everyone is supposed to hate.

I got news for people granted it is dangerous on ice but no more dangerous driving truch anywhere else in the us or canada. I think that the history channel has made another deflower on all truckers by showing the control and control with very little rest. As for belt along for cash I can alter the same if not more on regular roads. Me I evaluate the ice roads are a little easier to control because of less car traffic. Oh by the by get real with the mechanical end of the show. Any trucker knows how to deal with the cold and it is not by dumping air lie de-icer by the gallon in the truck. It will rot the air lines out and plug the system with fluid. But just to clear all doughts I lived where the temp hot 30 to 50 below 0 and white out are common and going in the abandon is the lest of you worries. So I accept with the statement of it is just a tv show more fiction than fact.
I don't understand why you would watch it if you didn't like it and further more why go through the affect of going online finding the place blablabla just to say so. I experience its not hard to get on here but i've never taken the time to go to another shows board and express them the show most of them desire sux made up drama or not I just thought it was entertaining that's why I watched it and its not desire there was some other show on that would have solved all life's problems and I missed out.
